Susan's Week

Susan did not do her usual chemo treatment this week. After a tough week last week, she decided not to do the chemo and we all agreed. She had a great weekend, bouncing back from the week. Her hydration on Friday really helped her recovery over the weekend. Now on Monday, she still had to go in to get her Herceptin treatment. Herceptin is an immune system (antibody like) drug which is for certain cancer patients. Susan has been on it periodically in the past few years. After Mondays treatment of Herceptin, she got sick throughout the evening. After sleeping and now into Tuesday, she is doing better. Pray that this is short lived and she continues to do well. Also pray for her weight. Even though she has been eating more, her weight yesterday hasn't changed. It may take weeks to really see a trend. Thanks for all your prayers. We are doing great! Jason's musical has been a hit and they have four more performances this week. Susan and Michelle plan on going again.

' "My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. ' 2 Corinthians 12:9

Your Bible verse sums it up!

Susan,

You have a great method to make the most difficult decisions: 1. listen to your doctors, 2. listen to your body, 3. pray, and 4. make the decision. Looking back, you made a great decision not to get a tracheotomy, then deciding to start up with Chemo again which had very good results in shrinking the tumors 50% was a great decision, and now when to take a break from the Chemo to gain some strength back. We will pray for continued direction in all those difficult decisions to come and also for your weight gain. I can’t recall ever praying for a woman to gain weight…. all my other women friends would kill me if they knew I was praying for them to gain weight!

Dear Susan
What a mighty witness you are to the One True God! In our study of Matthew at BSF, we learn that great is our reward in heaven when we love and serve God. And Cheri added, we can experience a reward now, knowing we are pleasing God. I know you feel God is blessing you with each new day, but you can be certain, you are pleasing God. I will continue to pray God will give you physical strength and inner peace that surpasses all understanding. Your husband has done a terific work with this "blog"!

With Love In Christ,
