This blog is in honor of my wonderful, beautiful, loving wife of 27 years who on April 3rd, 2008, went before us to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Susan's journey through cancer is documented here on this blog and is available for reading in the archive section. The JOY in the journey continues. Susan has left us a legacy of strong FAITH and a challenge to live our lives for JESUS. It is daily and not always easy. “The Lord is our Strength, our Song and our Salvation” Exodus 15:2

Sometimes No News is Good News
I know that a lot of you have been wondering what is up with us, so that is why we titled this the way we did. I am enjoying no chemo but I am still dealing with nausea and dry heaves on a random basis. Most of the time though I am feeling good. Enjoying the normalcy of life, including cooking, cleaning, raking leaves, etc. On Sunday, I drove over to Chewelah, WA to spend the night and all day Monday with my sister Jeanne. She is part of the traveling RN program and picked up the job for a couple of months in Chewelah so that she can be close to us. This coming Monday, I will see Dr. Tezcan to see what to do next. Pray for us as we decide further treatments for my cancer. We will be going to Stoneridge Resort nearby for Thanksgiving week starting this Friday. Pray that we all have a special family time, enjoying all of our personalities while living in such tight quarter (get my point) or should I say pray that we don't get on each others nerves. God Bless and enjoy Thanksgiving. We are so blessed!

I am glad you had this time of rest. Enjoy the holiday season!
We will continue to pray for wisdom and direction. Trusting God before, during, and after a decision making process is a challenge. I will be praying for peace and certainty for you guys as you navigate your options.
Bless you guys!!
Christian and family
Hi, Susan, Doug, and all the family,
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Week -- it will be good to get away for a while. Thanksgiving is such a nice holiday - still relatively free of commercialism. We'll be thinking of you on that day. Susan, leave the cooking to others! I know they will come through with a beautiful meal! Love, Judy and Patrick
Happy Holidays!!!
You are an incredible family and and inspiration to many others!
Susan, thank you for being such a sweet and loving example of the best MOM!! I treasure the memories we have made together.
God bless you
Love always,
Donna, Sheena, Luke & Jay
