Memorial Service for Susan

The Memorial Service for Susan will be on April 13th, Sunday at 2:00 pm at Coeur d'Alene Bible Church. There will be a dessert fellowship afterwards for all. Let people know that there will be on obituary for Susan in the Wednesday paper, CDA press. I will also have the obituary on this blog site.

Also more on the Susan Vetsch Cancer Contribution Fund:

This fund once again is what Susan desired to have, in lieu of flowers sent to our house, to be able to bless other families with cancer. Contributions can be made to the
Susan Vetsch Cancer Contribution Fund
at Bank of America, 357 W. Canfield Ave, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Funds can also be sent to our house in the name of the Fund and they will then be deposited into the Fund at the bank.

Thank you to all that have prayed for our family. We are doing well, continuing with the everyday Vetsch activities, just like Susan would want us to do. We have been having fun watching home videos, which started back when I was still in the Navy, right after Sarah was born in 1988. It was good to be in Church today and see all our close friends.

Thank you so much for the information, Doug it is such a blessing to me. I wonder if you watched the video with the "Good" children and the Vetsch children having a puppet show. I am so grateful for the wonderful memories I have of that time with Susan and your (much smaller at the time)family. Love in Christ, Jeri Good

Dear Vetch family,

We just want you to know that we have been following your blog and praying for your family regularly. You are such a blessing to all of us and we pray that the Lord will continue to bless and comfort you in the coming days.

We have all been so comforted to see the smiling faces of your family as you've faced such a difficult trial and we have been blessed by how much you and Susan gave in order to ensure that your children could experience lifestyles that are as normal and full of joy as possible in the midst of Susan's illness. What a blessing & example your family has been to so many.

Mom gave us the book: "You've Gotta Keep Dancing" and we have been reading it to our children. It is a wonderful resource and we are so thankful to Susan who shared it with the cancer support group at your church, for it was because of her that our family has received the truths of it and have learned to look at life in a much healthier and more godly way.

We are Jim and Shiela McClain's daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Rich, Jana, Heidi (& her daughter, Kyla), Brandi & (husband), Kevin (their children Kyran & Alahna), Natalie, Chrissie, Timmy, Noah and Levi Taft

I am a friend and co-worker of John Schaff's. I run the competitive race of Houston RFTC every year in honor and memory of a couple of family members and a mentor. I will place Susan's name on my running tag next year with the others. Your family is in my prayers.
